Sweeter With Time

Sweeter With Time

Verse 1

Seems only yesterday, holding

six pounds three ounces in the palm of my hand.

These precious moments soon slip away, but the

fragrance left behind only gets sweeter with time.

Verse 2

My life is blessed today. I love the

little things in life that you do and you say.

Hey Dad I love ya… all my troubles melt away, yes the

fragrance left behind always gets sweeter with time.

Bridge

It’s the good times you’ll tend to remember, but they’ll be some hard

knocks, pitfalls and rocks. When life offers more questions than

answers. Together be still. In there lies God’s will.

Verse 3

My life’s twice blessed today. As I

look at you I see your Mom in so many ways.

I’m taken back to another day. When the

fragrance left behind only got sweeter with time.

And the pleasure’s all mine.

These lyrics are from a song I wrote for my daughter when she was married. She was soooo small when she was born I could hold her in the palm of one hand. Thanks for the comment my man.
