When trying to sell an idea, a concept, or a product, there’s one question and one question only which demands to be answered before even thinking about closing the deal. I’m telling you…if they’re not asking…you can darn well bet they’re thinking…”what’s in it for me?”
It’s the job of a good salesperson or mentor, if you will, to confidently and vividly satisfy that concern in a manner which motivates a call to action…or you’re just wasting everyone’s time.
Motivation is the key here. It’s what gets the juices flowing, giving rise to a multitude of opportunities as it awakens the “law of attraction”…the inertia which drives success.
You see…I can’t motivate you to quit smoking, or anything else for that matter, by merely telling you how. You already know how.
• Just don’t put the cigarette to your lips and you’ll quit smoking.
• Just eat less and you’ll lose weight.
• Just exercise each day and you’ll get in shape.
• Just work harder and smarter and you’ll become rich.
Don’t you wish it were that simple? Well…add one ingredient and you just might get your wish…motivation.
Don’t laugh…it’s been proven countless times. With a little motivation, ordinary people achieve extraordinary things.
Therefore, motivation will be my central topic of discussion as I continue to blog on “How to Positively Quit Smoking.”
My job will be to motivate…I’ll post often. Your job…when motivated…is to take action and make it happen. Just like everything else in life…if you don’t…it won’t.
Cigarettes suck…they take your living away. We all need help from time to time. If something works for you…post a comment…it will help others.
When posting a comment…try your best to answer the question you know they’re thinking…what’s in it for me?
